ADD COLOR, POP AND ZIP FOR THE PERFECT LIP!

ADD COLOR, POP AND ZIP FOR THE PERFECT LIP!

In the realm of makeup, if you asked me the one makeup item that I feel does the most justice to the face overall, I would say mascara. With a completely bare face, a few swipes of black mascara over your eyelashes, and your entire face is brought into proportion and pulled together. Think fake eyelashes – – – even if you don’t wear them yourself, when you see someone who has accented their eyes with false eyelashes, the look is always beautiful.

So, mascara wins as the one necessary makeup item.

However, if you were to ask me the one makeup item that is the sexiest of all makeup items, and by far the most fun to wear, I would have to give the blue-ribbon award to lipstick/lip gloss. With the right shade of lipstick, your entire face can pop, take on a different look, and bring out the wow factor.

So, lipstick or lip gloss wins as the one sexiest makeup item!

Merely by changing your shade of lipstick, you can change your entire face, not to mention your mood.

Experimenting and playing with makeup application is part of the enjoyment of glamour and style. For a hip, modern, original and trendy look, why not paint up your lips to party going magnificence?

Match the colors of your lips to the colors of your clothes! All at once!

You can mix and match your lips to rainbow delight, along with painting your nails various shades of dark colors and light.

Perfect Lip Fun Fact: Always be sure to line the outside of your lips with a lip pencil before applying the lipstick or lip gloss. Not only does this draw out the shape of your mouth, but the liner acts as a buffer to stop the gloss from bleeding.

Perfectly drawn, colorful lips are the perfect feature to add pop to your face and posh, pizzazz to your lips.

How do you know if your lips pop? When you look at your entire face, your painted up lips are the first feature that you notice! Your lips walk in the room before you do!

Lipstick Fun Fact: Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients that apply color, texture and protection to the lips.

Whether your lipstick comes in a tube, or is swiped on with a brush, a fabulous pair of colored lips provides a head turning glamour rush!

Ancient Mesopotamian women were possibly the first women to invent and wear lipstick. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their lips. During the Islamic Golden Age, the notable Arab Andalusian cosmetologist Abu al-Qasim al-Zahrawi invented solid lipsticks, which were perfumed sticks rolled and pressed in special molds.

Fashion lives through the centuries!

Lipstick Fun Fact (or not so fun fact depending what side of the law that you are on): Traces of lipstick and/or lip gloss left on drinking cups, glasses, cigarette butts, tissue papers, etc. can be used as significant forensic evidence in the investigation of a crime. By comparing the composition of a lipstick smear with that of a victim, forensic scientists can demonstrate indirect proof of contact or a relationship between the victim and the suspect.

So, when your lips are enhanced with exquisite shades of punchy, popping, incriminating colors of “out of this world” lipsticks, either mind your p’s and q’s, or cover your tracks. But wait, you can’t be missed when wearing sizzling shades of luscious lipsticks! In fact, you’ll be remembered merely by your unforgettable, knock them dead lips!

You may want to make sure that your kissable lips aren’t admissible in a court of law.

Makeup Fun Fact: Throughout most of the 19th century, the obvious use of cosmetics was not considered acceptable in Britain for respectable women, and wearing makeup was associated with marginalized groups such as actors and prostitutes. It was considered brazen and uncouth to wear makeup. (This fashionista sure is glad that I wasn’t born in the 19th century)!

By the early 1900s, fashionable American women had come to consider lipstick as acceptable, though an article posted in the New York Times advised women on the need to apply lipstick cautiously.

To date, the global cosmetic industry is a multi-billion dollar business! You’ve come a long way, divas! Bring out the richness and the wealth of your lovely lips with powerful, popping shades of lipsticks!
