A boot is a type of footwear and a specific type of shoe. Most boots mainly cover the foot and the ankle (ankle boots), while some boots cover some or part of the lower calf (cowboy boots), the knees (knee-high boots) and a portion of the thigh (thigh-high boots). Most boots have a heel that is clearly distinguishable from the rest of the sole, even if the two are made of one piece.
Boots have their roots as practical shoes, that over time, have joined the world of style and fashion! Impractical fashion – never humdrum or boring. Let’s give a shout out and a hoot to the fabulous ankle boot.
