A Makeup Match That Shouts Hip: Heavy Eyeliner and a Nude Lip!

There are many ways to apply and combine face makeup to create stunning, soft, gorgeous looks. However, if I had to choose one facial makeup combination that I find to be absolutely striking, I would have to go with a heavily made up eye (primarily consisting of black eyeliner) and a nude lip. There is something about this blend and color of cosmetics that deserves its own blog post!
Heavy, theatrical made up eyes and nude lips creates a look that is sultry and sexy! Innocence meets seduction! Youth meets sophistication!
For those of you who want to stand out at holiday parties, or for those of you who simply want to stand out, if you decorate your face with heavy eyeliner and mascara, over emphasizing the eyes, and then apply a nude tone lipstick or lip gloss to your mouth, the results are elegant and exquisite!

Eyeliner is a cosmetic used to define the eyes. Eyeliner is applied around the contours of the eye to create a variety of aesthetic illusions. Black eyeliner pulls out the mystique and allure of your eyes, and the makeup can be applied below the bottom eyelashes, above the upper contour of the eye, or both. Also, eyeliner can be extended beyond the rim of the eye.
Eyeliner Tip: If you feel that black eyeliner is too harsh, apply the eyeliner, and then smudge the line with a Q tip. This will give the eyeliner a more subdued, soft look. Personally, I like the dramatic image that black eyeliner creates. When the dramatic, spellbinding eye is highlighted with a nude lip, the look is unmatchable in style and posh!

Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes and emollients that apply color, texture, and protection to the lips. Many varieties of shades and lip glosses exist.
Nude lipstick enhances your natural lip color, while not being overbearing on the face. Heavy, thick eyeliner and a trace of nude lipstick invite chic, charming style and glam!

Nude lipsticks are generally flesh colored, with tones of pale pinks and subdued oranges. Glossy nude lips can never be missed and beg to be kissed!

Various types and textures of eyeliners will create different effects:

  1. Liquid Eyeliner: Liquid eyeliner usually comes in a bottle and is applied with an applicator or a brush. When applied, liquid eyeliner can look heavy. If your liquid eyeliner begins to dry out in the bottle, simply add a small amount of water and mix.
  2. Powder Eyeliner: Generally this eyeliner comes in the form of a pencil. Simply run the tip over the eye area that you wish to highlight. When the edge of the eyeliner pencil becomes dull, you can sharpen the eye pencil to create a strong point, necessary for a great application.
  3. Wax Based Eyeliner: Wax based eyeliners are softer than pencil eyeliners. Generally wax based eyeliners are applied with a brush.
  4. Kohl Eyeliner: This is a soft powder form that comes in a pencil, pressed powder, or loose powder form. Kohl eyeliner has a tendency to smudge.
  5. Gel Eyeliner: A soft gel eyeliner, that can be applied with a thin brush.

You can wear your eyeliner clearly, dramatically defined or softly smudged. When painting your lips with nude lipstick, the heavily painted, black eyeliner clearly wins first prize!
Mesmerize with your subdued nude lips and your black painted eyes!

Tight Lining Your Eyeliner: Tight lining is the use of eyeliner, running tight against the water line under the eyelashes of the upper lid, and above the eyelashes of the lower lid (applying the eyeliner under and over the top and bottom lashes, closer to the actual eye, as opposed to swiping the eyeliner above the top lashes and below the lower lashes). Tight lining is a technique which makes the eyelashes appear to start farther back on the eyelid, thereby making the eyelashes look longer. Warning: if you do attempt tight lining, be careful not to poke your eye with the eyeliner brush or pencil!
Lipstick Fun Fact: Ancient Mesopotamian women are believed to be the first women to invent and wear lipstick. They crushed gemstones and used them to decorate their lips. Women in the ancient Indus Valley Civilization applied lipstick to their lips for face decoration. Lipsticks with shimmering effects were initially made using a pearlescent substance found in fish scales.
Facing the world with a face that wears heavily made up eyes, accented with a pale, nude lip is my number one, over-the-top makeup tip!
Fabulous face fashion at its finest!

Eyeliner Fun Fact: In addition to defining the eyes, eyeliner can create a look of a larger, wider eye. Eyeliner can be placed in various parts of the eye to create different looks. In addition to drawing attention to your eyes, eyeliner also helps your eyelashes to look lush.
Change the shape of your eye with the swipe of an eyeliner brush, making your eyes look fantastic and lush!
Don’t walk, rush to your mirror and watch your face literally transform before your eyes when you spruce up your eyes with dynamic black eyeliner, and you paint your lips with a natural nude hue!
The results will be a trendy, vogue, beautiful you!

Flirt with your face!
A major benefit to the heavily eyeliner coated eye, and the skin toned lip is that the contrast of the heavy and light makeup combination allows the colors to be worn for all occasions, whether your are having dinner with the Queen of England, or going casual for a fast-food dinner.
The look is truly hard and soft, playful and elegant, and youthful and serious!
Most of all, this facial makeup combination is sassy and seductive, without looking cheap or like you are trying too hard!
Simply sublime. I highly suggest that you try it sometime!
