A Valentine’s Day Tip: Go With a Bright Red Lip!

What is it about bright red lipstick?  Simpy stated, red lips rock!

A red lip is a universal classic and will never go out of style!

So, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, why not give some great love and spread your kisses through the sleekest of lips painted in never unnoticed, rampant shades of red?

In my novels, my female characters simply adore their glossy red lips. Whether their chosen shade is Racy Red, Roaring Red, Rev Your Engine Red, Knock-Em Dead Red or Rule in Red, one can be sure that a supple red lip screams seduction, confidence and elegance.

The first rule of red lipstick lies in your facial skin tone. The paler the skin, the bigger the bang! Fairer skin wears bright red real well, and darker skin shimmers in a deeper, more maroon shade.Â

The best way to get a great red lip is to line the lips with a similar color lip liner. This will eliminate the lipstick from bleeding and add shape to your lips. Then, pick the right shade of red for your complexion and your outfit. Paint your lipstick inside of the lip liner and blend the two together for a finished, polished, luscious look.

Hint: I prefer bright red lipsticks with either a black outfit or a white outfit. I feel wearing a solid color adds highlight to your lips. The red lip, black clothes pairing shouts sexy and seductive, while a red lip, white clothes ensemble can almost appear angelic.

Tip: Don’t wear nail polish that clashes. I actually like red lips along with red nails, and personally, I don’t think it is too much red! In fact, the matching of the colors adds allure to your overall look.

With Valentine’s Day approaching, and the color of love and of red in the air, you have the perfect excuse to go with a va va va voom red mouth!

Then again, who needs an excuse?

Bright red, fabulous lips are always in style!

With that said, go red!

Take the dare: bright red is the lip to wear!
