Author Nancy Mangano’s Swept Back Hair for Dressy Wear!

As noted in a previous style blog posting, discussing the effects of hairstyles, I am demonstrating the dramatic fashion look that can be obtained merely by changing our hairstyle/haircut. I normally don’t fuss much with my hair, and I wear it fairly long and down. My daily routine (unless I am deliberately sprucing up my hairdo) is to shampoo my hair, and then blow dry my locks straight. I then go about my day.
This picture of me was taken for a hair shoot that I was participating in in Marina del Rey, California. I arrived with my hair shampooed, air dried and flowing straight down. The hair stylist then pulled my hair back and created this fancier, dressier hairstyle. As you can see, I am not wearing any earrings at their request, which is rare for me, as I have almost as many pairs of earrings as I have wardrobe ensembles!
Once again, the overwhelming force of fashion! Perhaps that is why I love the fashion industry so – it is truly a creative art form, where many looks and styles can be achieved as easily as our choice of makeup, clothes and hairstyles.
