High heels are, well, high fashion! Fun fashion! Fabulous fashion! Fantastic fashion! You get my point! I, along with many women, absolutely love high heeled shoes!
There are so many varieties of high heels (I have featured a few types in my prior blog posts) and today, I am going to give you a visual display of sexy, strappy, sassy high heeled sandals. High heels that show a lot of foot! High heels that are showy, feminine and always in vogue!
High heels are footwear that raises the heel of the wearer’s foot significantly higher than the toes (as opposed to platforms or wedges, which raise the toes and the heels in equal amounts).
In addition to being aesthetically pleasing to the eye, when your feet are adorned in strappy high heels, they tend to give off the illusion of longer, more slender legs!

High heeled sandals typically have a thin, stiletto heel as opposed to a wide or block heel.
Strappy, sexy high heeled sandals can be worn for various occasions. The shoe can be used to dress up a casual outfit (say jeans and blazers, etc.), or worn with an evening or ball gown to add some pizzazz and seductiveness to the modern ensemble.
High Heeled Sandal Tip: The strappy high heel looks best when worn without stockings (bare legged) and the toes manicured and painted. If you must wear stockings with your open toed, high heeled sandal, wear stockings that are seamless in the toe area!

With strappy, high heeled sandals, a large portion of the foot is visible! In order to avoid course skin build up around your heel, rub a moisturizing lotion or a vaseline based product into the heel area daily. A good time to do this is right after you have bathed or showered.

High Heel Fun Fact: Heel protectors are widely used in ballroom dancing, as such dances are often held on wooden floors. The bottom of most heels have a plastic or metal heel tip that wears away, but can be easily replaced by a shoe repair person.
High Heel Myth: Wider heeled shoes generally do not supply more stability when walking than longer, stiletto heels. Be careful when gliding in high heels, even if the heel is substantially thick.
Since the Second World War, high heels have fallen in and out of style, although in my estimation, the high heeled shoe is never out of style! Today, high heels are typically worn, with heights varying from 1.5 inches to 6 inches or more! Score!

Strappy high heeled sandals can be purchased in both slip on and ankle strap forms. I especially love when the shoe buckles or ties above the ankle. This look is so sexy!

Try wearing this type of shoe (with the buckle or tie above the ankle) with a form fitting pencil skirt that hems right above, or right below, the knee! Then wear a form fitted top or blouse (such as a T-shirt top) and this look shouts “sensual and slinky” from head to toe!
High heeled sandals are a contemporary, always in style way to go!

High Heel Fun Fact: HIgh heels for men can be traced to male horse-riding warriors in the Middle East who used high heels for functionality, because the shoe helped to hold the rider’s foot in the stirrups.
Male performers have been known to wear high heels. Think of Elton John, David Bowie, Prince and Motley Crue, to name a few.
