Whether you call them purses, handbags, bags or totes, most women have a love affair with their bags. Purses originated from coin purses, which were small bags for holding coins. The item then advanced to larger sized bags, capable of carrying personal items. As with all fashion, what started out as a practical item turned into an ornamental aesthetic luxury, with the looks of the purse holding more weight than the items inside the bag.

Floral purses highlight a solid color outfit to perfection. The colorful flowers bring sunshine to your monochrome toned clothing. Why not accessorize by wearing a floral hat that matches your purse? Floral pumps also look amazing on your feet.
 
Designer handbags are all the rage. Think of names such as Calvin Klein, Versace, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Guess and many more. Also, it is fashionable to have purses in many colors and styles, to mix and match your handbag with your outfit. Decorative purses serve more than one purpose!
Purses aren’t only for women. Many men once carried coin purses. During the 18th and 19th centuries, men’s trousers were sewn equipped with pockets, which then enabled men to carry coins and paper currency in small wallets, tucked in their pockets. Today, many men carry backpacks, gym bags and totes to hold their larger personal items.
