In fashion, I adore the color black. I have fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes, so black clothing is a sharp contrast to my coloring. Not to mention, black clothes tend to look hip, vogue and regal! Â Here is a photograph of me modeling a little black dress:
Perhaps more than any other piece of clothing, the little black dress is the “must have” garment for every woman’s closet! Originally, the little black dress referred to an evening or cocktail dress, cut simply and worn quite short. And of course, the dress must be black. All black…every inch! To me, this is still the standard of the little black dress. Short but elegant!

A great feature of the little black dress is that your look can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the occasion. Are you going somewhere casual? Perhaps wear black ballerina flats and minimal jewelry. Are you going to a formal affair? Wear black high-heeled pumps or platform stilettos. For the  jewelry, either lots of gold or lots of silver, whatever your preference. To really add luscious glamour to your little black dress, adorn yourself in diamonds and/or pearls. Rubies anyone?
Glam up or glam down, but if you wear the little black dress, you’re ready to go anywhere on the town!

- Gavin Friday performed a song titled “Little Black Dress” for his 1996 album Shag Tobacco. The song was written by Maurice Seezer.
- The 2006 song “Little Black Dress” is the opening song of Donnie Iris’s album, Elwood City. It was written by Mark Avsec.
- “Tiffany Blews” is the 10th track on Fall Out Boy’s 4th studio album, Folie a Deux. The chorus mentions a little black dress, a symbol for classiness.
- “Little Black Dress” is a song by One Direction included in their third album entitled Midnight Memories.
