Pamper Your Feet and Toes With the Perfect Pedicure!

Pamper your feet and your toes like a princess!
Pedicures, whether given professionally or are done by yourself, at home, are a true luxury, the process of the pedicure being both soothing and sensational.
In addition to feeling simply divine, the pedicure is a way to improve the appearance of the feet and the toenails. In addition to the cosmetic pluses brought on with a pedicure, the procedure can also help to prevent nail diseases and nail disorders.
Pedicures are not just limited to the toenails. Dead skin cells on the bottom of the feet and the heels are rubbed off using a pumice stone (rough stone).
The word pedicure is derived from the Latin word pedis, which means “of the foot” and cura, which means “care”.
Translation of pedicure: Taking care of the feet!

How to Conduct an At Home Pedicure:

  1. Buff feet when dry, not wet, and use a foot file on the heels, balls of the feet and the edges of the toes.
  2. Fill a large bowl with warm water and a reviving foot soak solution. Soak the feet for about 10 minutes.
  3. Massage feet with a foot scrub to get rid of dead skin, then rinse.
  4. Dry your feet and push back the cuticles with a Qtip or cuticle cream.
  5. Cut and file your toenails to your desired length and shape.
  6. Massage your clean feet with a rich foot lotion.
  7. If you want to paint your toenails, wipe away any excess foot lotion and apply a clear base coat of polish to the toes.
  8. Polish the nails with your color(s) of choice.
  9. Apply a top coat of clear polish to add shine and shimmer to the toenails, and to prevent the polish from chipping.

A pedicure is that easy to do, yet the finished product looks outstanding, whether barefoot or shown off in shoes!

The use of fingernail polish has been traced back even further, originating in China in 3000 BC. Nail color indicated one’s social status, with royal fingernails being painted black and red.
