Silently Flirt in a Tube Skirt!

In my estimation, tube skirts are, to put it bluntly, slinky! What do I mean by slinky? Graceful, elegant and classy, touched with sensuality and sex appeal.
Tube skirts, just by the very nature of their cut and fit, are flirty and provocative!
A skirt is a tube or cone shaped garment that hangs from the waist or hips and can cover all or part of the legs. At its simplest, a skirt can be a draped garment made out of a single piece of material, and most skirts are fitted to the body at the waist and become fuller below, with the fullness introduced by means of darts, gores. pleats or panels.
The tube skirt looks much like the pencil skirt or the hobble skirt. In my fashion opinion, in order for a skirt to truly be labeled a tube skirt, the hemline of the skirt needs to fit tightly, or straight down, as opposed to flairing out or becoming more full at the bottom, similar to an A-line skirt.

Tube skirts can be short or mini-skirt length, knee length or floor/ankle length, but they must have a narrow or tight hemline!

Tube skirts are usually made from light to mid-weight fabrics, such as denim, jersey, worsted, cotton or poplin. Skirts of clingy fabrics are often worn with slips to make the material of the skirt drape more aesthetically and comfortably.

Tube skirts wear real well with tops or blouses that are tucked into the waistline of the skirt. I particularly like the look of a form-fitted angora sweater, a form-fitted long sleeve T-shirt, or a ruffled blouse tucked into the skirt. Since a tube skirt generally shows off the shape and size of the waist and the hips of the wearer, and tends to fit straight up and down, when a form-fitted top and platform heels are added to the skirt, the outfit can only be described as slinky!

Beginning around 1915, hemlines for daytime skirts left the floor, and for the next fifty years, fashionable skirts became shorter. Skirts seemed to reach their shortest length from 1967 to 1970, when skirts became as short as possible without exposing the underwear, which was considered taboo.
Since the 1970s, the rise of women wearing pants for most all occasions took away the immense power of the skirt. Today, not one skirt length dominates fashion, with short, knee length and ankle length skirts all being popular and acceptable women’s wear.


Many tube skirts don’t contain zippers or buttons, merely stretching over the hips and either hugging the waist or resting on the hips.



Tube skirts are ultra stylish and feminine. A tube skirt can be made casual to dressy merely by the shoes, tops and accessories that you choose to wear with your skirt.

In fashion, the hemline of your skirt will vary according to your personal tastes, which can be influenced by aesthetic preference, social context and your perception of modesty.
May I suggest a tube skirt?

Whether you select a ballerina skirt, a denim skirt, a leather skirt, a T-skirt, a cargo skirt, or various other types of skirts, I personally find the tube skirt by far one of the most attractive skirts in modern fashion today.
