THE POPULARITY OF MUSTACHES, BEARDS AND GOATEES!

Whether you’re walking the streets of Los Angeles, New York City, or just about anywhere else in the United States, you’ve probably noticed that more men are sporting facial hair as opposed to being clean-shaven. Yes, mustaches, beards, and goatees are in! For many men, gone are the days of shaving every morning, appearing well-groomed and manicured. Today’s man makes a GQ statement merely by the hair he chooses to wear on his face.

In previous years, facial hair on men has morphed into a fashionable style accessory. Not only do mustaches, beards, and goatees look sexy if kept groomed, but facial hair can change the shape of a man’s face. Men can alter their looks with whiskers, just as women can enhance their face with cosmetics! With many celebrities rocking facial hair, the look is now mainstream fashion. David Beckham, Idris Elba, Drake, LeBron James, Johnny Depp, and many more wear their facial hair proudly.

Popular Types of Facial Hair

Mustache: A fine looking mustache is always in style. If you’re a man who wants some facial hair to bring out your masculinity, but a beard is too much for you, a mustache is your answer. Mustaches work in pubs, offices, and Wall Street. Think firemen and policemen. These clean shaven men can still sport magnificent mustaches while on duty.

Stubble: This style gives you an “I’m cool” statement. Stubble is easy to grow and easy to maintain. Also, stubble works well on most face shapes and is accepted by many employers. Stubble is sensual.

Short Beard: The short beard is preferred by men who find full-length beards too long and often difficult to maintain. A short beard is office-friendly, trimmed, and looks manly. When kept tidy, a short beard looks great when you’re dressed up in a tuxedo,  or strolling the beach in a pair of swim trunks and flip-flops. The short beard can be styled and angled to suit your taste.

Goatee: The goatee, while a shorter beard, is worn with style. Goatees consist of hair above the lip and on the chin, groomed and maintained. Goatees often give off a “bad boy” vibe and can add an edge to your overall appearance. Although goatees can be worn by all men, this beard wears well on thin, angular faces.

Full Beard: Growing a full beard can take time, but for men who adore and value their facial hair, full beards speak volumes. Full beards aren’t for everyone, and they take the most time to look after and maintain. Trimming and cleaning a full beard is a must to ensure this look flatters your face. Full beards look great on most face shapes, particularly an oval face. If you desire a full beard, more maintenance is required.

Mustaches, beards and goatees are admired by both men and women! Whether you’re striving for an outdoorsman look or a preppy city boy, facial hair can be sensual and masculine.
