The aura of the nightlife! Exciting, electrifying, eccentric!
As far as fashion, dressing for a nightclub night on the town in over-the-top style is acceptable, if not expected.
In my novels, A Passion for Prying and Murder Can Be Messy, the main character, Natalie North, a twenty-nine-year-old Los Angeles super sleuth, visits the swanky, elite Melrose Avenue nightclub, Flash! In each book, Natalie is dressed to kill, no pun intended, since her ulterior motive for being in the popular club is to find the killer!
A nightclub (or a club or discotheque) is an entertainment venue which operates late into the night, which then turns into the wee hours of the morning! Patrons can boogie on the dance floor, socialize, listen to music either being played by a DJ or a live band, party hearty and accomplish all of these tasks dressed in glittery, sequins, stand out club clothes!
Of course, there is no rule stating that if you enter a nightclub you need to be dressed in attire that bedazzles. However, at more upscale clubs, there generally is a dress code. This is to ensure that a certain type of clientele is in attendance at the venue. Some clubs ban attendees from wearing tennis shoes and/or jeans, while other nightclubs will advertise a “dress to impress” dress code. This can sometimes allow bouncers to discriminate at will against those patrons who are pleading for entry into the club. Twinkle brighter than the night time stars in the sky dressed in glitter bliss, and the bouncer can’t help but notice you!
This is a great time to let your fashion ensemble shout, “I am here!” in all of your splendor!
Since fashion is aesthetic, holding a strong visual appeal, a fun, exciting night in a nightclub is the perfect place to allow yourself to sparkle, shine and shimmy in clothes that would stop traffic!
A large amount of glittery club clothes consists of short skirts or mini skirts, or fancy, dressy shorts. This is a time where high heels and shorts blend perfectly! However, there is no law stating that you can’t wear shorts and your coveted heels to the beach or to the park (most people don’t but, ok, I admit it, I have!)
Oh, the shoes! We can’t mention club clothes without picking the perfect pair of shoes to offset your glittery garments. If your fashion tastes tend to run on the conservative side, club clothes are the ideal time to shake off your safe mode of dress and give in to your wild side!  Many times, the more bedazzled and glitzy the shoe, the more fitting the fancy footwear will be for the discotheque atmosphere!
As long as you are adorned in sparkle and glimmer, why not keep the trend going and highlight your sexy, show them off legs in glittery, bedazzling, seductive stockings?
Twinkle like a shining star from head to toe!
When you are dressed to bowl them over, you can experiment with your makeup as much as with your garments. This would be a perfect time to dress up your eyes with glittery eye shadow, rhinestone face decorations and gloss up your lips with flamboyant, bright colors of lipstick. Globs of mascara or false eyelashes would accent your beguiling face even further!
Just as beautiful, a natural face with merely powder, a pale lip gloss and mascara would also work well. Whatever manner of cosmetic application makes you feel your most attractive and beguiling, a night of clubbing is the time to go for it 100 percent!
Your jewelry can be outrageously large or simply small and elegant! Remember, you are clubbing to let loose and enjoy yourself! Shine on!
This is your time to dress to impress, yourself! Â Others will be equally as entranced with the bold, Â courageous, stunning you!

Please, like we need an excuse to doll ourselves up in elegance and grandeur! However, there are times that we all need an excuse or two!
