This Glamour Girl Doesn’t Write in Her Jammies!

Hi.  I thought I would make some blog entries by answering questions that I have had submitted to me by readers.  My question for today: If I work from home, do I end up staying in my robe or in my sweats all day long?
I will start out by saying that I don’t own a pair of sweats. As for a robe, I love to snuggle up in my furry pink robe late at night in front of the television set, but that is the only time that I lounge in my house in a robe.
As a true glamour girl, even though I spend the majority of my writing time in my house, I never write in my jammies.  Although I love to write, it is my job, and I get up early every morning and get ready for my day, just as if I was going out of the door to an office. I shower, apply whatever fun makeup I feel like wearing for the day, dress as if I was going to an outside job and complete my getting ready time all the way down to blow drying my hair. Before I sit down to write, I look as if I am going out the door to greet the world. In a strange way, through my writing, I am!
Why do I do this? Because I am truly by nature, a glamour girl!  Getting ready everyday is  fun to me and not a chore. I can actually visualize the day before what I might be wearing tomorrow. Some people might see this as work, or as frivolous, but when you love fashion and clothes like I do, the creative way that I dress myself each and every day is enjoyable!
Once I am put together, I start in on my writing.  Sometimes for a few hours, and sometimes when I am real involved in a chapter, I can go nine or ten hours straight with only food breaks, and even then I need to remind myself to stop writing and eat something.
Right now as I write this post from California, it is 5:00pm.  I am completely dressed in street clothes, no jammies yet.  In fact, I already know what I am going to wear tomorrow!  I am sure that glamour girls around the world can relate.
Feel free to follow me on Twitter @nancymangano and let me know if you like to glam up too. It’s just a part of who I am!
Now back to my writing, but I think I will freshen up my lipstick first!
